GF3000
Series Electromagnetic Mortise Shear Locks
The GF3000 Series shear locks feature a patented design offering
advances over any shear lock on the market. With its unique floating action,
the armature and magnet are attracted to one another on application of power.
This allows for the GF3000 to overcome gaps of up to 1/4" without a large
voltage inrush. Once engaged, the shear lock provides 3000 pounds of
holding force without the high operating temperatures normally associated
with other shear locks.
The
mortise shear lock offers the advantage of a totally concealed
locking mechanism, providing superior security and appearance.
The patented design incorporates locking tabs on the magnet
assembly with mating grooves in the mating armature plate.
The
shear lock is ideally suited for commercial grade quality
hollow metal doors and frames as well as Herculite doors with
a top rail. The GF3000-TRD model is available for when armature
adjustment is necessary from the door edge due to flush ceiling
conditions.

the opening with programming accomplished from either the
keypad or touch entry reader. The TEK touch entry keys
are an excellent alternative to cards. The TEK key is a smart
data chip contained in a stainless steel disc. Sealed to protect
it from moisture, corrosion and static discharge, it can be
supplied on a key fob or can be attached to an ID card, badge
or bracelet.
The
following features are common to all three series -

keypad and TEK technologies in one system. You can use either
the reader or the keypad or require that both the reader and
the keypad be used for access, creating a credential requirement
for access. Can be programmed via a laptop or palmtop computer.
790 Membrane keypad with cast stainless steel housing with TEK reader
794 Stainless steel buttons and housing with TEK reader
671 Touchbar
- The 671 Touchbar is a non-latching electromechanical releasing device which
allows egress at doors equipped with electric locks. Pushing the 671
Touchbar at any point on the bar activates an internal switch which
controls power to the locking device.
The
671 features a contemporary design with only one-quarter of
an inch movement required to activate the internal switch.
Specifications:
Switch Contacts: SPDT rated 3 amp@30VDC / 5 amp@125VAC
Wiring: 3 conductor cable - 18" length
Lengths: standard lengths for 36", 42" and 48" doors
Finish: standard finish is 628 (aluminum)
Options
Available:
DPDT Switch rated 5 amp@125VAC / 3 amp@30VAC
Custom Length available to order
Finish optional duranodic finish (313) at a higher price
WD Wood door kit (fasteners)
Armored door cords available to order
690 SmartBar
- The 690 Series SmartBar is an electronic
switching device with no moving parts, which serves as a non-latching
exit bar at an egress door. It allows one motion egress at
doors equipped with electric or electronic locks with "no
prior knowledge" required by the user. Touching the SmartBar
at any point on the bar activates internal circuitry which
controls power to the locking device. No moving parts results
in low maintenance and a long life.
The
SmartBar provides redundant detection systems to sense an
exit request. the first is a capacitance touch sense circuit
which detects a change in capacitance when a person touches
the metal portion of the bar. The second is an infrared light
beam which is directed across the front of the bar. As a person
touches the bar, the light beam is broken. Either the capacitance
or the light beam detection will activate the unit.
An
optional audible alarm is available, which provides a security
alarm to alert when there is a prolonged unlocked condition
caused by a continued capacitance signal or a continued break
in the light beam.
Specifications:
Voltage: 12 or 24 VAC/DC
Switch Contacts: SPDT rated 3 amp@30VDC
Wiring: 9 conductor cable - 24 AWG - 16 feet long (7 conductors used)
Lengths: standard lengths for 36", 42" and 48" doors
Finish: standard finish is 628 (aluminum)
Options
Available:
Custom Length available to order
Finish optional duranodic finish (313) at a higher price
AUD Audible alarm
WD Wood door kit (fasteners)
