Electromagnetic Door Releases

Electromagnets designed specifcally to hold fire and smoke barrier doors open until released by remote smoke detector or other switching device. Cap assembly consists of armalture contact plate w/ adjustable pivot mounting for installation on the door, and heavy-duty electromagnet mounted on the wall or floor behind the door. Door must have a separate door closer to work in conjunction with these magnets. In order to meet life safety codes must be tied into a fire alarm system.

• Approximately 35 lbs holding force.
• Fail safe operation. Power failure releases door to close, positive release button initiates closing motion.
• UL and ULC listed.
• California state fire marshall listing #3550-047.
• Finishes: (SA) Sprayed aluminum or (SB) sprayed bronze.
